Ram – Scion of Ikshvaku Summary
Scion of Ikshvaku opens with a war between King Dashrath and the demon King of Lanka, Raavan. The Lanka King wins and drains out wealth from Ayodhya empire, leading to poverty, corruption and distress among the people. Meanwhile, Queen Kaushalya gives birth to Ram Chandra, who is first despised by the countrymen and King Dashrath. However, he, being the devout follower of Dharma and law wins the hearts of his father, King Dashrath and the people gradually.
Further, as the story progresses, you’ll find how Ram Chandra always stands up for the law and always does what is right in the eyes of Dharma. He goes on to marry Sita, the warrior princess of Mithila. And, later, takes up the punishment of 14 years of exile. Now, will Ram, Sita and Lakshman be able to rise above amidst all the chaos?
