Is A Very English Scandal Worth Watching?
A Very English Scandal is a solid piece of television. The story is well told and beautifully presented. It recounts the tale of an endeavored murder of Norman Scott by his ex-darling, Jeremy Thorpe. The acting and the generation are of high calibers, as can be expected from the BBC.
Hugh Grant as Jeremy Thorpe is beguiling, exceptionally savvy, savage and manipulative. It is a significant complexity to the kind of parts Grant normally gets cast in and it is extremely fulfilling seeing him leave from his pigeonhole. Ben Whishaw’s Norman Josiffe is temperamental, passionate and broken by the numerous hardships he has encountered.
A remarkable supporting cast and an unconventional melodic score include in excess of a bit of funniness to the procedures; this is an arrangement that shouldn’t be missed. Thoroughly recommended.
